Dental assistants basically support in the delivery of quality dental care. They are responsible for everything right from preparing treatment room, sterilizing dental equipment, making appointments, managing patient records, to helping and assisting dentist to perform dental care procedures that are in compliance with the dental practice act.

These professionals have emerged as an indispensible member of the dental health team. They greatly increase the efficiency of dental care delivery, and thereby increase the quality of oral health by manifolds.
