Harry Potter Studies: These days, you don't have to be a wizard to have Harry Potter in your classroom, because as part of its education program, Durham University in England is offering a full-time Harry Potter module which is the first of its kind in the UK.
The module is set to focus on the social, cultural and educational context and understand some of the reasons for Harry Potter’s popularity as well as to consider its relevance in today's education system.
Carolyn Fowler, registrar of Durham University said, “A huge amount of work has gone into developing it, and we are extremely excited to be offering it as a study option to our undergraduate students, who have already expressed a high level of interest."
