Mary Anning was a rural English woman who was basically a fossil collector, dealer and paleontologist. Fossil collecting was something her dad had taught her during her young age. She became famous after she discovered various new species of dinosaur and that helped her convince the world that dinosaurs were a thing. Her discovery contributed to fundamental changes, especially in scientific thinking about the prehistoric life and about the history of the Earth. After the discovery of various species of dinosaurs, she was well known in the geological circles in Britain, throughout the Europe and America and later she was consulted on issues about anatomy as well as about collecting fossils.
