5. Bahrain

This small island country, near the western shores of the Persian Gulf, put up in the fourth place for having gender gaps in the workplace with a 19 percent. 80 percent of men here are reported to be working for full-time or part-time jobs and the percent of women is 61.

Economy of Bahrain was identified as a high income economy. The Human Development Index of Bahrain is said to be one of the highest in the world (42^nd).

In the Arabian Peninsula, Bahrain owns the oldest public education system. According to UNESCO standards, Bahrain had 77 percent literacy for adults in 1990. Education in the public system is free which includes supplying uniforms, meals, and transportation to and from school. One of the eight best international schools in the world, St Christopher’s School is located here. Along with that, Bahrain’s 10 universities are offering internationally recognized qualifications.
