You might think that one or two mistakes on your resume or cover letter are no big deal and assume that employers probably won’t even notice such mistakes, which is not true. In the eyes of recruiters, making one or more mistakes on an individual’s resume or in a cover letter in unacceptable and in most cases such resumes or cover letters end up at the bottom of the pile or in a junk.

Most employers do not appreciate individuals who lack common follow-up skills and graciousness, and tend to discard such individuals.

Hence it can be beneficial for a job seeker to leave a thank-you note after the interview, which in turn strengthens an individual’s case for a position.
