You might think that such messages on your answering machine might be cute and funny, but the recruiter doesn’t see the funny side of it. They view such messages as reckless and juvenile, and thereby tend to stay away from such individuals.

Try to make use of short and meaningful greeting messages on your voice mail and avoid such absurd messages at any cost. 

3. Sending Your Resume and Cover Letter without Proofreading:

You might think that one or two mistakes on your resume or cover letter are no big deal and assume that employers probably won’t even notice such mistakes, which is not true. In the eyes of recruiters, making one or more mistakes on an individual’s resume or in a cover letter is unacceptable and in most cases such resumes or cover letters end up at the bottom of the pile or in a junk.
