Janet Yellen, Economist
Currently, she is the chair of the “Board of Governor” of the Federal Reserve System, which is the post of its worth. Prior to this she has been serving as the vice president. Janet Yellen’s flourishing career is credited with key roles, where she was President and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco; Chair of the White House Council of Economic Advisers under President Bill Clinton; and lastly Professor at the University of California, Berkeley.
But having said all that, this job was not easy to get as she was competing against - Lawrence Summers, who was a former White House economic advisor.
Travis C. Kalanick, CEO, Uber
Uber is an app-based transportation network and Taxi Company headquartered in San Francisco. According to Forbes’s estimate, Travis owns 17 percent of the stake in this company. Although a college dropout from University of California, Travis Kalanick started his career by setting up a content delivery company—Red Swoosh, which failed. The current value of Uber stands more than $ 40 billion.
Travis faced a lot of controversy this year; followed by a bann in India after a female passenger was raped by an Uber driver and this brought the spotlight on the process of driver’s background checking and scrutiny by the company. Despite various debates on the company working practice, Travis still holds a place in the list because of the fortune he gained in 2014, which helps him take long leap in his career.
