Bangalore: The India IT firm Infosys Technologies has already started visiting about 1,100 colleges across the country and 20,000 students got the job offers for the next year with salaries at around 3.5 lakh a year. Infosys revised its hiring guidance to 40,000 from 36,000 in the second quarter of 2010-11 while attrition in the company during the quarter stood at 17.1 percent compared with 15.8 percent in the previous quarter. Analysts have said that Infosys, attrition is going down as more freshers join the workforce. The utilization levels (including trainees), which were about 74.3 percent compared with 73 percent during the second quarter of the current fiscal, are expected to decrease because of more freshers joining the company during the third quarter.
