Ben Bernanke: Ben Shalom Bernanke earned his Ph.D in economics from MIT in 1979. He served as the chairman of Federal Reserve, the central bank of United States from 2006 to 2014. During this work period he took care of the Federal Reserve’s response towards the 2000’s financial crisis.
Prior to his work in Federal Reserve, he used to work in Princeton University and lead the department of economics from 1996 to 2002. After that, from 2002 to 2005 he was established as one of the members of Board of Governors of Federal Reserve. There he came up with Bernanke doctrine and the Great Moderation Theory.
He even worked as a chairman to president George W Bush’s council of economic advisers.
