Princeton University
Princeton is a private Ivy League research university in Princeton, New Jersey and is one of the nine Colonial colleges established before the American Revolution. The university is highly regarded for its undergraduate and graduate programs in the field of humanities, social sciences, natural sciences and engineering.
The institution which been associated with Nobel laureates and National Medals is not less when it comes to production top techies. According to a ranking provided by Bloomberg, Princeton is the country's top school for producing CEOs of tech companies with market capitalizations of more than $1 billion. Eight of the Princeton grads have served as CEOs of major U.S. tech companies that include Amazon chief Jeff Bezos, HP head Meg Whitman and former Pandora CEO Joe Kennedy. Google chairman Eric Schmidt also attended Princeton, to earn his Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
Stanford University
Leland Stanford Junior University which is commonly referred as Stanford University, is a private research university located in Stanford, California. It is one of the most prestigious universities in the world.
The university has a long tech tradition and proximity to Silicon Valley and some of it’s faculty and alumni have founded many companies including Google, Hewlett-Packard, Nike, Sun Microsystems, and Yahoo. Other successful tech executives that make it on the list include the Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer, LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman, PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel and Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom. Additionally, there are about 17 other tech CEOs have graduate degrees from this school.
