Senseless Objective or Purpose

The purpose of a CV is to showcase one’s ability and potential; fashioning it with outlandish details is overstating the point, thereby defeating the purpose. The content in the resume should be sensible, attainable and must fall parallel to ones abilities and skills. An objective such as “looking for a challenging job” or “seeking a job environment to utilize my skills” gives an oblique impression and holds a futile outlook. Whereas a good objective signals a specific goal and defines the profile one wishes to apply. Sentences such as, “A content developer for the last 2 years looking for creative content in the technology field,” sets as an epitome for executing a perfect job objective.

Applying for an Unsuitable Post

Applying for a particular job destination is essential to bare similar qualification and experience. Moreover, molding one’s CV to fit a certain job role and then applying for another would certainly give a negative impression in which the hiring manager wouldn’t take you seriously and send you on your way. That being said, it is advisable to apply for the job in which one’s has skills for than to be an alien in an entirely different job.
