Gas plant operators are mainly responsible for making sure that natural gas is moving safely through the pipelines, and that the gas leaving the plant is pure and ready for use. Additionally, these individuals keep timely check on temperature readings inside the pipes to detect early signs of problems and repair them.

Petroleum, or oil, is an essential resource which is used daily in most parts of the world. But when these systems get cranked a normal man just can’t solve the issue, and petroleum pump system operators are the guys who can deliver that service.
A petroleum pump system operator controls petroleum refining and processing systems, often with different specialties that determine the specifics of their work.  Even though their job can be dangerous as they are often required to deal with hazardous materials by definition of the job. Potential applicants for this position are usually required to have a high school diploma or related education in order to be considered.
