10 Of The Most Expensive, For-Profit Universities

BANGALORE: It’s no secret that education has become increasingly monetized, thanks largely due to the big money that has corrupted the system.
Though, many schools bombarded students with advertisements promising students a better future, the high prices and low-quality programs have made it hard to land jobs after completing a degree, forcing many students to emerge from their programs with debt. So to ensure that your future career is not in stake, here is a list of most corrupt and expensive for-profit universities that you don’t want to be a part off, as reported by Lacey Burns of TheRichest.
Strayer University
Strayer University is a U.S. based private, for-profit higher education institution located in 24 U.S. states.  Though, the university specializes in degree programs for working adults and offers undergraduate and graduate degrees, this hasn’t stopped them from falsely claiming its graduation rate is 33 percent, where it stands only at 15 percent. Additionally, the university has also claimed that it has a loan repayment of 55 percent, but in reality this figure stays with just 25 percent.
Along with this the Strayer charges over $15,000 per year, surpassing the cost of public 4-year universities by thousands of dollars. The bottom-line is that the university overcharges and over-promises, but fails to deliver even the minimum of services.
