Old Fashioned Rudeness
Building a professional network and gaining from it needs a lot of patience. Being rude or showing unnecessary attitude will throw you in loss. Always remember no one is obligated to help you. Hence you should be very polite and cooperative. Approaching or bothering someone at an inappropriate place may ruin the relation. Above all don’t forget to be thankful to those helping you.

Lying
Attempt towards career progress may witness self praise and addition of few adjectives, but exaggeration should be avoided. Multiple use of exaggeration turns it into a lie. Suppose you are boasting about your skills in big words and the listener trusting you refers you in his office. Your incapability will not only cost you the job but may even affect the person referring you. Respect yourself as well as others.

Demanding Results
Never ever irritate or nag anyone for any requirement, be it a job, a suggestion, a reference or any other thing. You can remind a person once or twice, but bugging him/her continuously may create a negative impression of yours in their eyes. Moreover if the person is not responding, one should definitely get the hint and leave it alone.
