Competition is good but only in a fair way. You doing trash talk about those in competition will not earn you a job, and it may be marked as one of your negative points. Talent and skills can’t be hidden, they reflect anyhow. So, if you have the potential, you will definitely get what you deserve, there is no need of pulling down others.

To compete and struggle in this materialistic world, one has to be selfish to a certain extent but one should not be self centered. For instance, if you have a lot of people in your contact list, but you never contacted or mailed them in last few years and suddenly you contact them for job, information, reference or any other favor. If you are lucky enough, you receive the response and get the job. But, will it be right on you part to lose the contact again. In other words, your work has been done and now you don’t need them anymore. This is totally unjust. We should be grateful to our contacts always and be in contact whether they come up with help or not.
