One among the oldest universities in Mainland China, Peking University was established in 1898. Located in Urban Haidan District in Beijing is the picturesque Peking University . The campus takes several different shapes in different seasons. The University is indeed an excellent temple of knowledge, besides that the scenic campus can blow your mind away. The University’s baronial architecture is remarkable. As it was built back in 1898, we get a glimpse of the traditional Chinese architecture. Right from the symbolic Red gate that takes you into the campus followed with a series of awe-striking stone lions which again showcases the beliefs of ancient China. A visit to the Peking University is a must for the visitors there.
Scripps College, USA:
A private liberal arts college for women situated in Claremont has one of the most beautiful campuses in the whole of United States of America. Scripps College is even listed in the list of National Register of Historic Places. This is a college with 38 courtyards, 19 fountains and ponds, 22 varieties of edible plants and yes they could be your snack in the evening. The college has two and three storied buildings that are built of red-brown stones that were relevant in the past. Thanks to the Mediterranean revival style architecture.
The campus boasts of scenic greenery, , stuccoed walls, red tiled roofs, iron balconies and arched windows and doors. The college offers excellent curriculum for all 65 majors.
