Your pay hike was below average
The annual hike you get speaks a lot. It tells you in a way how much the company loves you. If you get a good hike, it will be a news and celebration in the office. This is good, showing your dedication and reputation in your organization. However, no hike or a below average hike than others reflects poor progress. Now the comparison in the hike should only be made with those of your peers. Juniors to you will get greater hikes and seniors will get fewer hikes with passing time. This has been an age old rule. So discuss with your peers and make sure that financially you are in par with the others.

You are not consulted
One can assess his status in the office himself. From your boss to peers to juniors, if everyone consults you for professional or impersonal issues it reflects the connection between you and your office. If situations are not so, and you are being side lined or kept apart, its time for you to take actions. You need to bring a change in the situation. You should go up and try to participate even if it does not come in you naturally. This might change situation and stop you from getting the red letter soon.
